The little bud caught my attention,
It’s seemingly poignant existence,
It’s beautiful expression,
As it slowly but surely blossomed.
I wept, at the time I didn’t understand
Guess I’d known all along it will end
This beautiful bloom
That’d one day cast me to eternal gloom
At times I wish I’d never known
It’s fragrance, it’s color, now wind blown
But there’s no regrets to have known such beauty
I can’t keep but will cherish to eternity
